How DeskDev handles your information.

This notice explains what deskdev.com collects, why, and how to ask us to change or remove it. It is written for the people who use this site — mostly Ontario service business owners requesting a consultation.

What we collect

When you request a consultation we collect what you enter in the form: your business name, trade or services, primary service area, current website if you have one, your goals for the site, your name, email address, phone number, and how you prefer to be contacted.

When you load any page, your browser sends standard technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested — which our hosting provider processes to deliver the site and keep it secure.

How we use it

  • To review your request and follow up by phone or email, as you asked.
  • To prepare a written proposal and, if you engage DeskDev, to deliver the work.
  • To keep this site running reliably and securely.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list or an automated sales sequence because you asked a question.

How long we keep it

Consultation details are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of the engagement and any period required by law. If you ask us to delete your details and we are not working together, we will.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct, update, or delete the information you have provided at any time by replying to any message we have sent you, or by submitting a note through the consultation form.

Where DeskDev operates

DeskDev operates in Ontario, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law. Our hosting and email providers may process data on servers outside Canada.
